    I haven't heard from him since yesterday so I imagine he took a day off or something, so no more work has been done (not that there is too much to do), so just hold on for a couple more days

    There is still an issue w/ turning the lights back on.

    Yup.

    It's progressing. I have 4 versions I'm testing today alone

    It's close.

    I have to go test that 4th version now....

    Anyways, to the good stuff. Go to folder:

    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\State

    You'll see tons of folders, like BacklightOff, ColdReboot, On, etc.

    In each folder, you'll find this:

    kyl0 with a value of 4 or 0

    4 = off
    0 = on

    (1, 2, 3 = ????)

    I was able to completely disable the KB lights on a soft-reset. I forgot what everthing does, some are obvious. So make a backup and get experimenting!!!

    I naturally turned \ScreenOff\kyl0 = 4 and I think that's the one that will disable the keyboard light when the Screen is turned off (for streaming, playing music, etc.)

    (haha, as I write this my device was in low power, the keyboard light went off, screen dimmed. Then my device went into suspend: everything off, keyboard light came on!! Guess I gotta fix one of those keys! That's what happens when you just start chaning all of them randomly...lol)
    Changing kyl0 with a value of 4 turns the screen light off while playing song on WMP?

    I'll let Bruce make the official announcement, but Treo KeyLight should be released very, very soon as he figured out the last hurdle in getting the program to behave like we wanted just this morning.

    Now doing some final tweaking.

    So check this thread later on today

    (or go to his official thread: http://www.pocketmax.net/smf/index.php?board=35.0 )
