Hi,

Does anyone else use Bluetooth activesync as a poor mans wifi? I have a cheapie USB bluetooth connection in my laptop that is setup with activesync. I do not have a wifi card for my Treo.

Lately I have found that I sit on the couch & use the Treo for web & mail instead of the treo.

With my activesync bluetooth setup, I can get my cable modem speed through the bluetooth (or its much faster than 1X).

Is there a way to amplify the Bluetooth signal so when I am home I can use the Treo in activesync mode while out of a typical bluetooth range (ala bluetooth in the whole house)?

Does that make sense?

I want to amp up the range of my bluetooth so I can use it instead of a wifi card connecting to my router.

Thanks,
Rich
