I am sorry if this has already been asked/answered:

Let's say that I compose an e-mail or reply back to an e-mail...simple enough, right?

I then hit the left soft key (send) and NOTHING happens. I have to go into the right soft key and use the Send/Receive function to send out my e-mail that's just sitting in my outbox.

Is this is a known issue or is it by design or am i missing the obvious here?

Many times, I just want to SEND an e-mail. I don't want to receive 50 e-mails that are sitting on my ISP's server.

Anyone else experiencing this?? Thanks in advance for any advice/direction.

Not sure I have seen a method to just send. Why not setup an a second pop account (in name) that only had the smtp defined. Then there would be no way to receive.

I have this problem as well. Don't mind getting the new mail, but seems that there should be a setting to send immediately without having to hit send/receive. Is there?

Nope. You must press the send/receive button. Otherewise it will sit in your outbox until your next auto send/receive. (assuming you have set that up, mine checks every 10 mins)

Well, that's not very smart. If that is the case (which it seems like it is), then why do they show a "send" function above the left soft button?

I may try the suggestion of setting up a "send only" account, but I doubt it will work.

    Thanks everyone!!!!

I think "Queueing for Send" only fits on tablet screens.

Are you looking to send an e-mail without it also downloading all of your new e-mail? Or are you just worried about a bunch of spam e-mail?

I just want to be able to send a single e-mail or a reply e-mail without have to download all of my new e-mail.

Why should this be so hard?

Does any use an e-mail client other than the built in one? If so, can you make any suggestions?
