No difference - I was concerned it was one of those options that you needed to scroll down to...

    Thanks storyr.
I installed the weather panel and I am able to see on today the original configuration and one of the raws is the weather panel. It does not display a different configuration like I SEE in the pics above. Is there something I need to uncheck?

So, it sounds like you have WeatherPanel installed. Then, if you haven't done so already:
    • Go to the Chameleon-240 post (here) and download the Chameleon-240.zip file (the download link is near the bottom of the post).
    • Unzip the file on your PC, then open the Readme.txt file and follow the directions for installing Chameleon-240 to your device.
    • Open the WeatherPanel settings, go to the Display tab and change the theme to Chameleon-240.

    Simple as that!

I do not see a "themes", "data" or "icons" folder under the weather panel folder. Should I create one?

I must have forgotten - perhaps a fresh install of WeatherPanel doesn't create this folder.

    Definately create it yourself...

lghitis....my god, questions like yours are the very reason we are scaling down providing Treo's in our company. I showed some of my coworkers a lot of your questions/posts just so they could see what it will be like having to support a user community (much like yourself) that cannot (or refuse to) figure out anything for themselves. The constant questions upon questions for installing even a single simple application like WP, shows a support staff what a nightmare these devices are in the hands of people with very little PPC experience. It's not enough that they have laptops but now they want Treo's?

I apologize for being completely off topic. But after reading some of your inane questions even I was aghast at the lack of self sufficiency. What scares me the most is having inexperienced users download and install applications on a company-supported device to be used for voice and data communications, F-up their Treo because they couldn't get a .cab file for a weather program to install...

    This is really very funny.
I make my living (and a very decent one by any standards) and in a totally different way than most of you here in these forums and my background is not technology. Most people in this forum probably make a living in fields closely related to software. It may sound funny but I am considered my self an "expert" by people who know by far much less than I do, and I know that my knowledge is very limited. However, I do know that I had in many ways something to do with the fact that many people had bought these devices in the areas that I work. It is individuals like me who are responsible for making the decision in my job of what devices to buy. Last week my company decided to buy 120 Treo 700wx because of my input into what device to buy.
If there were no consumers for these devices, this forum probably would not exist and most of you guys would be doing something different than spending your time in here.
With these note I say good night now because my patients will appreciate very much that I had a good night of sleep.

I need to add. You guys are really very smart and I appreciate your postings. They are very helpful.

storyr thanks for the instructions. The problem I have been having with the installation of those .cab files of chamaleon has to do with the fact that under the weather panel folder I do not have any other folders but just some files and the installation is based on having those other folders present which I don't have. (themes, Icons, data. etc.)
In any case the way the program works now is just fine.
    Thanks for your patience.

I live in New York, and have a fog alert on Chameleon-- the exclamation shows up next to the icon, but the alert pop-up on the toolbar hasn't been working for me.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I installed Malatesta's Pop up combo Stealth theme, but it doesn't look right. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get it to work correctly?

    Thanks

Within the Chameleon-240 zip file are alert icons (ChamAlert) that need to be installed into the icon set you're using with the theme. The installation instructions for the alert icons are included in the readme.txt file.

Your date format is too wide. Go to Start -> Settings -> System -> Regional Settings and change the Long date to something shorter.

    Thanks, that worked.

Any idea why the temp shown is a lot different than what weather.com and weatherunderground tells me it is?

On my phone, it says 25 degrees, on weather.com and wu, it says 32.

That particular layout is showing the "feels like" temp. Malatesta is "touchy, feely"

Anyway to get the 'non feely' temp, or perhaps actual temp/feels like temp?

I just don't see the point in seeing the "actual" temp as opposed to what it actually feels like (taking into account humidity, wind chill, etc.). Just seems like a more realistic weather report I'm new school weather. lol

jhkaplan, yeah you can change it to regular temp by changing the layout file and put in #TEMP# as opposed to the FEELSLIKE version.

Storyr will give the deets as I don't have them from memory.
