somone needs to post or link to the version that's buried in the forum (that's the latest, if I remember correctly).

if you just use the one from the sites main page or pocketgear, I think you'll have problems.

For those that dont' care if its on the today screen this PDA friendly site is pretty sweet. Radar, sat images, full forcasts etc. Sure you have to open PIE to get the info but I can't stand the slow down and the consumption of space on my screen for something that I need once a day and can easily get when surfing for something.

if you want to get the most from the app I highly recommend reading the whole thread, either here or on ppcgeeks site. a lot has been added to this awesome app to better fit the treo 240x240 screen.

now the animated icon set are just cab files. just install to main memory and then in the weather panel settings/display select icons and choose.
now with the themes you need to copy and paste them into your program files/marsware/weatherpanel/themes file. don't delete the default folder just past them right nest to it.

any questions just post here, pm me, or (removed email)

For those of us new to the WM5 platform, how does one go about installing this? Sorry, on the road and manual is at home.

    Thanks.

I find most weather plugins, actually all weather plugins just show too much info. And weather panel was something like 2mb to install which is just nuts for a weather app, for my needs.
check this out and tell me if you like... oh, and yes the icons is animated.

I find that this app messes with some of my system fonts. Look at the "Active" text over your call timer. It is now in block text. If you have your "info" show at power on the "info" title text is all block text. Very odd.

lol, yeah that's the one I'm using now!

Although I UPX'd a bunch of stuff and lost the icon..trying to put back the right .dll file now to get it back

Update: Looks like you can UPX all the files (GifDecoder.exe, Marsutil.dll (in \windows) and WeatherPanel.dll) with no problems.

Do NOT do WPRes.dll or you'll loose the animated icons!

Okay, I'm sold. This is exactly what I was looking for (wish it took up less storage space, but oh well).

Thanks codyppc for making this so easy and painfree!

    Here's me now:

I could use some instructions too on the add-ons. I know how to install the main program.

I downloaded it from the website earlier and noticed when I made a call some of my fonts went to block text too. I didn't try uninstalling it to fix it. I wasn't sure if it was this install or some of the themes I downloaded. I had backed up last night so I just did a restore.

in that zip file where are the themes that are for 240?

    Malatesta, a few questions.

    1. How did you get it on 1 line ?

    2. What theme manager/launcher is that you are using? It looks nice and I like the small icons at the bottom and top.

    Thxs.

hehe, I knew someone was going to ask me that!

So first some of the other questions:

I installed the main .cab file for weatherpanel.

I then installed the icons.arm.cab found in the animated icons folder in Cody's zip.

Nova Icons I extraced as a folder to
    Program Files \marsware\weather panel\icons

    Simplethemes I extracted to
    Program Files\marsware\weather panel\themes

Once installed, I went to the "Settings" in WP --> Display and chose:
    Theme: simplethemes
    Layout: Simple3.wpl
    Icon Set: Nova icons

Time Display: Update Time (this doesn't actually matter)

Of course I also set up my cities and conenction info.
    ---------------------------------------------------------
So from top to bottom on my screen:
    - iLauncher 3.0 with single line, no tab setting
    - WeatherPanel
    - TodayAgenda 0.9.2.0 beta (fixed space to push down phonealarm)
    - PhoneAlarm Lite 1.54 with Jinks/email skin
    - TrueToolbar (shows running programs in lower task area)

I am using the default install when this happens. Make a call and look at the word "active" over the call timer. Is that font weird looking now?

Maybe it has to do with the theme??
