Yay! It's a good dump!!! I was able to extract all but one file. Can you check your device for a file called SMSReceiver_Dll.dll. You will have to use a file explorer that lets you view hidden system files such as Resco Explorer. You'll have to change the settings in Resco Explorer to show hidden files.

I used Resco Explorer showing all hidden files and I do not have a file called SMSReceiver_Dll.dll ((((

The closest I have is "sms.dll" and "sms_providers.dll"

Ok, I guess it doesn't exist then. That would explain it. Maybe it's just a symbolic reference in the registry. I think we are good!

I've posted an update over on the xda forums. I wish I didn't have to get up for work in a few hours.

Thanks Bcaslis for the rom dump!!! We owe you big time! Have a virtual beer on me

thanks hannip, it looks as if/when we get this app we will owe alot to you and your hard work. i have been following this on both sites and you sure have got it going. thanks and keep up the good work.

ps: do you think we can get the other goodies as well. like the bluetooth stack that allows bluetooth dialing, the folder option without stlyus, ect. or are these going to have to be handled differently?

    thanks, cody

Of course we'll try to get whatever we can out of this rom.

I have a lot to learn yet though such as how to certify dll's, how to generate cabs etc. It should be fun.

These are some of the user-friendliness that Palm have brought to Windows Mobile 5 platform through Treo 750v. Do you think you can extract them out individually? I'm intending to buy a Pocket Loox T830 soon (not by Palm), so, it would be cool if some of these could also be used with that PDA phone. Basically, T830 is similar to Treo 750v, in that it has 240x240 screen, and external qwerty keyboard (see here for spec):

    - Reject call with a text message
    - Picture Speed dial
    - (Native) Threaded Text messaging (which no 3rd party has done a good job at copying)
    - BlackBerry Connect
    - Assign speed dial to alpha keys
    - Contact lookup plugin
    - Voicemail controls on screen
    - Option + OK brings you to the task manager to close apps
    - Green Key brings up Call history
    - Softkey programs: Menu to Contacts, Dial Pad, Call log, Preferences
    - Program lookup via Start + Letter
    - Internet Explorer key tricks e.g. Option + Green Key jumps to address bar, etc.
    - Option + Shift to Search
    - Keyguard that doesn't require you to touch the screen
    - Camera control: right, left controls brightness; up, down controls zoom + Soft Key support for editing, saving, etc.
    - OS is much, much faster than anyone elses, even with a slower processor.
    - 30 sec boot time
    - Better ringer selection e.g. Known and Unknown Caller ringtones
    - Free MS VoiceCommand/built in to ROM

    Thank you for your help
