Where do you find that? In windows or on the device itself? Sorry for the newbie question, but I cant find it and it's driving me nuts.

    Thanks in advance!!!
On the device itselt, but you'll need a Registry Editor to get there!

    PHM Registry Editor should do:

What plugin is this? I hate that softkey being wasted...

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\"Dial Lookup"

Enabled = 0 (for off; 1 is for on)

    Warning!
    :

At least on my device, the Green Phone Button does not bring up the Submenu anymore.

I ended up remapping the Green key to the "PhoneDialer.exe" under \windows to get the main part back. I used AE Button Plus to do this.

I also noticed my speed dial via hardware key does not work anymore. If anyone can confirm these, that'd be great!

It ALSO disables your on-screen status during a phone call!!!!

NOT sure if it's worth it anymore!
    ------------------------------------------------------
You can also just TOGGLE the Contact Lookup field:

Menu --> Preferences --> Hide Lookup Field

...But this leaves the Sprint network provider/BT/Location line on.
I haven't been back to the boards for sometime, but I have to say, I've forgotten how helpful this place is . Nice work!

    that I don't know...

    but maybe try this one:

FYI, my personal favorite is hands down Resco Registry Editor which comes with Resco Exporer. Big difference is that Resco is a pay app but it's worth considering if you stick with WM5 as it's a 'must-have' program.

it looks like you downloaded the cab file. you need to take the cab file and with active snyc go to explore and find a place on your 700w/wx to put it. after you put it on your device, you can install it from your device onto your device.

.exe files are installed from the computer onto your device.
.cab files are installed from the device onto the device.

    hope this makes since, cody

But it downloads as "phmregedit.msi" which is neither a .cab file or an .exe file. The frustrating thing is that I have downloaded and installed this app before on a different PPC smartphone and never had a problem. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I wonder if this app would remove the today screen displays, without screwing with everything else?

    http://www.pdagear.net/blog/?p=11

(I doubt it since the items you removed are not a selectable today screen option, but I thought I'd try).

actually, that program might show 'em. Basically, I used a similiar app that was in SKTools 3 and saw that and one other "plugin" that were not listed on the Today screen and then I just traced them back and toyed with them.

This wouldn't give you any different results though. The fact is, that "plugin" is basically a large custom Palm application that's tied to the heart of all the phone enhancements. So you disable on part, you disable them all.

Only way out would be to grab the .dll and reverse engineer or something. not sure.

I think losing the call status screen is a deal breaker for me. I could live without the search. Anyone found out how to activate it via a softkey? What a waste of perfectly good screen real estate.

Rats! Keeps getting worse. You lose the Call Log screen as well.

has there been any resolution to this? Is there a way to remove the Sprint logo (which wastes Today screen space) without any negative effects?

I'm also annoyed that if you have the Date/Time field on the Today screen it's above the Spring logo and can't be moved...

The Sprint logo field should really be part of the tray on the bottom of the Today screen...

    Here: http://www.ppcgeeks.com/remove-logo-...sed-t1066.html

I think there's a plugin that you can install that provides the same info as the OEM Date plugin and it can be moved... run a search here and on PPCGeeks.

I think there is a link to the date plugin in the hidelogo thread on PPCGeeks. Here it is.

The program all the way on top is PhoneAlarm from Pocketmax with Jinks' skin.
