    Look at the logo on the right side of the device on the cover for the slot, it clearly has a logo embedded in it. If you look at this page: http://www.sdcard.org/minisd/index.html

    The logo is small and hard to see in the Treo photos but it sure looks like the mini-SD symbol on that page as opposed to the SD symbol. Also all the new phone/combo devices coming to market now are using either mini-SD or micro-SD. The new HTC TyTN for example uses the micro-SD size. I've be very surprised if a new generation Treo didn't use at least the mini-SD format.

    Have you ever played around with a Treo 700w at a vzw store? There are somethings like when you press the end button - it turns on the keyguard, pressing send from the today screen brings up your 10 most recent calls + call log or dial pad options, typing while on the Today screen searches your contacts or you can just dial straight from the today screen, and other things that were "ported over" like the picture speed dial, search from today, etc.
