I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar product like PDA Reach for Palm OS for the 700w.

I have a 700w and want to be able to view my treo screen on a larger monitor screen, but the PDAReach software doesn't support windows mobile.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks..

Before shelling out for Pocket Controller, if your needs are light, there is the free Microsoft Activesync Remote Display Control available for download here.

That sounds good. Yes my needs are light, so I will probably try that first and see if it meets my needs! Thanks..

I use Pocket Controller all the time to take screenshots and just to enter things via the PC. I'm going to check out the Microsoft one. I didn't realize they had one.
Treo700.us is now WinMobee.com. Soon to be a great resource site for all Windows Mobile phones.

I tried that ActiveSynce Remote Display and I got the following error:

"The OS or CPU of this device is unknown to this application.."

Do you know what that could be from? I have Windows XP on the desktop and Windows Mobile Version 5 on my Treo 700w..

Also, when I followed that link recommended above it said that there were 2 files to download:

Here were the instructions below. Did I have to download the Emulator Activesync Connection Tool First? It really didn't say that one was a pre-requisite of the other?? All I really like I need is the Remote Display..

    Instructions
There are two packages to download. The Emulator Activesync Connection Tool comes as one package. The remaining tools come in a second package.

    Emulator Activesync Connection Tool

    Start Visual Studio .NET 2003.

Click "Connect Emulator with ActiveSync" on the Tools menu.

From the "Connect Emulator with ActiveSync" dialog, select an Emulator image from
    the dropdown list.

Ensure the selected emulator is not running yet.

Click the Connect button. The emulator will be started and an ActiveSync
connection will be established with it.

Once the connection is ready, it is OK to close the tool by clicking Exit
    from the menu.

    Remaining Power Toys
All the other Power Toys are installed by the second installation package. A shortcut called Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys is created on the Start Menu which will allow you to access the Power Toys. The readme file for each toy explains how the Power Toy is used.

Try this link. That other one appears to be for an old version.

Now...is there anything like this for 700w users running a Mac?? I'm very curious about the prospects of there being something out there for Mac users.

Ehh, I've been disappointed with Mac support. I've got an Intel Macbook so I ended up just installing activesync on my bootcamp partition and running it through Windows natively.

For Mac, Parralells now support USB Activesync, which my be more convenient than bootcamp.
