I love my Sprint Treo 700p, but this Treo looks nice. I'd like to use a wifi card.
The salesman I spoke to told me that they didn't have a date yet when they can sell them, do you know when you can?

The 27th is the date I was told for business customers. Sept 3rd for the rest of the consumers....

Is the only difference with this essentially the amount of memory or am I missing something? Also, any idea when Verizon folks will see this in stores?

Does anybody know what the price is going to be for the 700WX? Is it going to be the same price as the 700P?

I just called the Los Angels Palm store and they have a few in stock and are selling them now! They said that the price is $650.

LoL I'll bet any money those aren't going to activate if you buy one.

I just called the Los Angeles store as well, and they are selling the 700wx. I asked if I could buy it over the phone and was told I couldn't.

I'm not believing it. Call Sprint and ask them if they are able to activate a Treo 700wx and make sure they know its a brand new device so they look it up. They have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

    No chance.

Sprint does know about the 700wx, I called last night and was told it's available on August 31st.

I remember there were a couple of folks that had problems activating their 700P that was purchased through Palm, but the majority , I believe, had no problem with this....I think the simple solution would be to walk out of the Palm store call CS and try to activate the phone...if there are any problems walk back in and return it...

So after calling back today to ask if I can come in and buy one I was told that Palm will not be releasing it until the 3rd even though the store has them in stock. I really should have jumped in my car last night and drove down there to get it. I guess corporate told them that they can't sell the phones after hearing the news on the internet.

I was told the same thing yesterday by what appeared to be a very knowledgable and helpful tech support rep at Sprint. She confirmed that that their system shows that as the release date as well.

With 64 MB of memory, I am almost tempted.....it is just the screen is so darn small and square!

Hobbes I am tempted by this as well, even though I have a 700p already. I might have to pick one up since Microsoft is now offering certifications, MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) for Windows Mobile. I have my MCP for Windows XP (I'm a Network Specialist for my real job), I might be able to make this purchase a "continuing education" purchase, lol.

I was surprised that Sprint gave me so much information, they were not like this before the 700p came out.

I got wind that Palm corporate wasn't too happy with me, and told some stores not to sell any 700wx's. I think this is going to do very well for Palm, they are doing a nice upgrade.
