Is there an easy way to turn off email notifications besides going to settings/sounds/notifications? At night, I want to be able to hear my phone ring but what I don't want is an audible notification every time I get another Viagra SPAM email at 3:00am.

Look for a proggie called Profiles.

phoneAlarm can automatically switch the notifications at specific times. You can set up a night profile with mail notification (or any other) alarm turned off and then set the time to activate it.

I downloaded the PhoneAlarm Lite trial version last night and set it up. I also downloaded PocketZenPhone and tried it too.

PZP was harder to setup, IMO. PhoneAlarm on the other hand was very intuitive and an ease to use. Now I won't have my phone ringing while I'm sleeping. I'll be buying it soon.

Awesome. I'll give phone alarm a whirl and report back to this thread. Thanks.

PhoneAlarm ROCKS!!! I've been using it for several months and I can't live without it.

Just another thought....software setting that is already there if you are using activesync to check your mail.....in Activesync go to Menu -> Schedule....and set Off-Peak times to Manual then Adjust peak times to fit your schedule. I have "Off Peak" set at 11:00pm to 5:00am and my phone does not sync then so I don't have issues with emails keeping me up all night. Just my 2 cents.

I ran Phone Alarm on my i730 but have not yet installed it on my Treo cause I had some minor issues with it on my i730. Have all the bugs been worked out?

    What bugs were you experiencing?

This only works if you are using exchange, right?
Even if you set a dummy fake server to enable the scheduling, once you set your email to check for pop automatically (every 15 mins/whatever), that will override the scheduling.

That may be...I run on an exchange server. Logic says the Schedule would apply to timed syncs as well...but I have no idea. Sounds like from your experience it doesn't. I'd go with one of the other suggestions here.

    Deltaflyer,

My i730 was constantly having lock up issues and while I couldn't directly tie to PhoneAlarm, when it wasn't installed I didn't have the problem or if I did, it was like 95% less likely. I eventually went with the light version and really liked the profile switching and things...but again, just couldn't keep the i730 stable. I'm certain it may not have all been related to Phone Alarm, but I couldn't over look the fact that it wasn't anywhere near as bad without Phone Alarm installed.

When I got the 700w I promised myself to keep it slim and clean for a while and see if I could get use to it out of the box. While I miss some of the phone alarm features that might draw me back...I love the stability of this device.

Also, on a related subject...those running phone alarm...are you experiencing any additional memory issues due to yet another program constantly running? I've not done the upgrade to 1.10 and I'm still holding off.

Does this (phonealarm) work with GoodLink ??

I've yet to have issues of any kind since the update and I must have PhoneAlarm. I run the Oxios trick outlined on this board, so everytime I wake it up, it cleans itself.

No issues for me using phoneAlarm lite. Been using it for several weeks now.

    I tested this yesterday.
I set a fake server and scheduled for 9-5 delivery and other times for manual only. Email is set to check pop every 15 minutes. The 15 minute setting does override the schedule option.

Bummer...I'd say you will have to go with a profiling program then to turn off notification when you don't want it. I loved Phone Alarm on my i730....just couldn't keep it stable. Sounds like that's not a problem on the Treo. Might check it out.
