I have a friend that travels to Asia all the time and he and I were talking about the Treo 700w be CDMA. He was wanting a Treo 700 but he wanted it to be GSM.

Well long story short, he did so research and found these two links.

This is the standard specs of the 700.

And this is the interesting one from Asia.

What do guess think? Are we getting jipped?

Verizon was the first with the phone, so cdma had to be. Once other GSM carriers are allowed to have it, then it will be available in GSM.

Yeah I know that but have you looked at the Asian specs?

Are you referring to the RAM? If so, even Palm says our version has 128mb of memory (60mb user accessible).

The specs on that page are incorrect, as many other sites that have gotten it wrong (especially the RAM part) before the product was officially released.

The specs are right, just they forgot to add the (60mb user accessible) part.

So what you are saying is that they just combined the Ram and ROM together.
