    Good thread.

I would also say Slinghann's Keyboard lights on/off utility is a must have...save battery life significantly.

Maybe you need to search the Treo 750 section. Or you can Google it.
    Palm Treo 700w > VZW Treo 700wx

I see a lot of people with XCPUScalar on their list of most essential apps - is it really that good of an application? Is it worth the $20.00? What settings are people using on their Treo 700s?

I tried Speedbooster but after the trial period I really wasn't all that impressed so I decided not to buy it. I wanted an application that I could really tell a difference in improving the performance, and that did it only slightly for overall performance.

Just Hard Reset yesterday after realizing PhoneAlarm truly did screw up my registry to the point of no return.

Here's the list from my "RESTORE" folder:

    HideLogo
    IM+
    MSN Live Search with Voice
    Minimo
    Palm Threaded SMS
    Sprint MMS plugin
Treo Keylight (so necessary it should be hardcoded into the firmware)
    spb Pocket Plus
    Today Agenda
WM6 Terminal Services Client (hate WM5's)
    Resco Explorer/Reg Editor
    Sprite Backup
    Tweaks2k2
    PDANet

still got 22 megs free on the 700wx, trying out xcpu for the Auto-control features to see if it squeezes any more battery out.

No one mentioned PhoneAlarm? With the skins I have NOTHING else on my Today screen. Just a single ribbon along the bottom.

Dude, you still use minimo. I junked that months ago. Just because you have it, I may have to put it on there again. Is it any faster than it was this summer? Here's my list:

    A_C S2U
Weatherpanel (still the best out there)
SPB Diary, Pocket Plus, Finance, and Weather (weather plays nicely with Diary, good compliment)
    Ilauncher
    Live Search (with voice searching)
    Windows Media Player Today Plugin
    Pocket Player
vTap (a must have for videos and quick wiki searches)
    Sprint TV
MSNBC.com (for news on the go)
Imageviewer (for the iphone like photo usage)
    Pocketcm (iphone like contacts)
    SKTools (for modifying the system)
And a $11t load of games. Still have 13M of memory left.

Oh and one should consider MultiIE for Iphone like internet browsing. Just my .02.

Man, I barely have any of these programs you guys talk about.

    All I really have is...

    TCPMP
Pocket SportsCenter (absolutely amazing for the hardcore sports fan)
    KeyLight (HUGE battery saver)
    pmClean
    Zip (unzips compressed folders)

I wanted to get Resco Registry Editor so i can make a few hacks, but can't find it anywhere.

Is there a program or reg hack for making a phone louder? More importantly, making it so your text message ringer doesn't go off in my ear during a phone call? That would be amazing!
Check out my buddy's music on MySpace!

Thanks - ah, it's the CM viewer. Is it really good? I use Resco right now, and I'm pretty pleased with it, especially for all the extra goods (flickr upload, editing, etc.)...

As good as free can get. I use it all the time. I have shortcuts in Ilauncher and Pocketplus that take me directly to the file. That way I don't have to go into pictures and all the extra stuff. Tene is still working on this so I expect it to get much better. But if you would rather use Resco so be it. But this is free, I've spent too much on my treo as is (according to my wife)(that includes time as well as money)

Right on... I'll check it out. Thx -
