    Every time I have to soft reset my treo 700w I get an error message "warning: couldn't support power management!!"

    Has anyone had this error or know what the problem is? I have not been able to find anything about it on the forums or on any other site.

    The only thing I can think of as a cause is the Seidio 2400mAh EXTENDED LIFE BATTERY that I have. I would guess, however, that many use this battery and they have said nothing of this warning.

    I would very much appreciate any help or direction.

    Did you get the same message after inserting the OEM battery?

    Yes, I did get the same message when I put the original battery back in.

    Guess it has nothing to do with the Seidio battery then. What else changed -- the Treo update? Did you try a hard reset?

    Nothing else changed that I can think of. I haven't done the update yet. I was hoping to resolve this first. Looks like I will probably need to try a hard reset...I should probably do that anyway before I download the Treo update. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something obvious or important with this warning message that might haunt me later.

    Hard reset first. Then do the update. I bet it'll be gone.

    PS - And if it isn't, you may have a faulty unit, hardware wise.
