I have tried viewing e-mails on my 700w that are in Japanese, but all I see are tiny squares. Does anyone know of some plug-in or software that would enable me to view japanese text on my 700w?

Some useful clues on the topic here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=102436

Basically you need to have double-byte Japanese fonts installed - that is why you see boxes instead of Kanji, Katakana and Hiragana characters. Input is also missing - this requires a Japanese IME which is a program for entering Japanese characters by using phonetics. Parts of the OS may also need tweaking to support double-byte fonts. Windows Desktop versions tend to deal well with multilingual support but the size of unicode and doublebyte fonts precluudes their inclusion in mobile versions of the OS.
