Ok, I thought I'd be smart and set up my favorite stations from http://www.thestreamcenter.com/pda into a WMP playlist that I would then sync over to my Treo like I do with other music playlists. However, when I try to do the sync it says it can't. Has anyone figured out how to do this? Do I need to find a playlist editor for the Treo to accomplish this?

Well I found one method to do this.

    1) Create a playlist with all your favorite stations from http://www.thestreamcenter.com/pda using WMP on your PC.

    2) Play your new list so that it is "Now Playing" and click on the "Now Playing List" button then select "Save Playlist as". Chose filetype .m3u and give it a name.

    3) Connect the Treo and copy the m3u playlist to it.

    4) Use a playlist editor to convert the m3u file to an asx file. I used the playlist editor from http://www.cs.pitt.edu/~jmisurda/ppc...laylist_ed.htm

    5) Go to WMP library and open up the asx playlist.

I'm sure there must be an easier way to do it. If you know of one please post it.

hmm, I just figured out you can skip step 4 by saving the playlist in step 2 directly to an asx file type. When choosing the filetype select "Any playlist" and enter a name with the .asx file extension.

Are you using WMP10? No clue why it would be giving you a sync error when all you are doing is saving a file to disk. Or are you getting this error when copying the file to your Treo? To copy I just clicked on Explore Device from ActiveSync and drag and dropped the asx file to My Documents.

I am using WMP10. I was trying to use the sync function w/in WMP10. So I tried Card Export and txfr'd but the files kept disappearing. Then I tried ActiveSync drag and drop. Now I see the .asx file however, some of the stations work in WMP but not in TCPMP or Resco Radio. What gives? BTW, thanks for your help. At least now I'm hearing some of my stations.

I'm using a demo copy of Resco Radio and I'm intrigued by the recording function. I'd like to record a talk show from a local station but of course that's one of the links that stops after it buffers!

Yeah, the sync function in WMP10 doesn't sync streams, just files.

For the stream's that stop after buffering try replacing the http:// with mms://

I don't know why the playlist doesn't work in tcpmp. Maybe someone else can help.
