The only feedback I have for now, is that I did a complete HARD RESET, and then reinstalled applications one by one. And, I setup a new sync relationship, and it seems to be holding.

So, if you continue to have problems, a reinstall may be in your future.

this is so frustating, I'm posting from my treo right now. tried everything on this front page, my stupid treo keeps telling me I need activesync 4.1 or higher, when I HAVE ACTIVESYNC 4.2 INSTALLED ALREADY!!!! On my computer on the add/remove programs list it shows up as 4.0, I don't understand it. activesync worked for about a week before it crapped out on me.

Make sure you have the "show all files" checked...that could be why you don't see it.

there are a couple of ways to find your temp folder. The easiest is to open up Start>Run> then type %temp% then hit enter. Also you can type %tmp% enter this should take you straigh to your temp folder. In my case both %tmp% and %temp% took me to the same folder which is C:\DOCUME~1\myusername\LOCALS~1\Temp

There nothing secret about those commands, they are common Windows Variables.

    Good Luck

silly me, I thought we were talking about on the device and not about on the desktop or pc? certainly on the device that is where the windows temp folder is.

I too have been fighting this issue and I didn't have anything in the Windows\Temp folder on my Treo either. I did find nearly 3000 0-byte files in Windows\Messaging though. Once I deleted all those the phone magically started to sync like it should. Maybe this will help others.
