    I did a hard reset recently and changed my settings for my Norton Firewall and suddenly all my ActiveSync problems disappeared. However, the first time I synced after the change, I got duplicate contacts and appointments up the wazoo. Not all contacts and appointments but most, and not all the info from contacts. So I started deleting them but when I sync again some of them come back.

    I sync contacts and calendar wirelessly with my Exchange Server through EVDO (but when connected to my laptop I believe I go through my laptop's Internet connection.) Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change to stop this problem? It is driving me crazy!

    I recently had a similar problem.

    I think the new version of ActiveSync still has some bugs in it when dealing with the Treo 700w. Because older versions of AS would detect when there were going to be duplicate contacts and/or events and give several options to keep the duplicates, combine them and delete any extras, etc....
