i really like weatherpanel. thanks for everyone for mentioning it.
  3. #123
Ive been running Resco Explorer and their utility pack but would like to give WA2 a try as I think it looks a little neater and would like the cascading folders.

Do I need to remove all of the Resco software before installing WA2/WA2desktop? Or just certain pieces?

Where can one find weatherpanel, I've had a couple of hiccups with pocketweather, may just need a reinstall.

    Thanks.

Is there anyway to delete the line on the today screen that says Sprint of Verizon? Big waste of precious real estate.
  7. #127
You can turn it off. Soft key on the right under preferences.

You cannot turn it off without a registry hack that will also limit many of the treo features.

The only thing you can turn off from the soft key pref menu is the Lookup Field. Unfortunantly as mobileman said, you will need a hack to disable the carrier line. For some reason, this today item includes a few features that the Palm implemented in the today screen. I am not sure why its tied to the carrier line, but disabling it via hack will cripple some common features.

I just started using vj toggle and the problem I'm having is that one, I it won't toggle back and forth form with upper and lower bars and without. Also everytime some one calls the bottom bar reappears with "answer" and "menu" and it won't go away unless I do a soft reset. Love the increased screen space! Any ideas?

    Thanks

Your best bet is either to read through this thread (in case you already haven't ) and then to ask Vijay himself (he's very responsive):

I actually forgot about that program: used to use with the 6700 but it disabled every time it went to landscape so I kind of forgot about it.

I known you can just have it hide the Top bar and leave the Bottom one visible and other such adjustments.

In fact, I'll probably play around with some settings tonight and see what I can come up with.

Niice. Thanks for the .tsk link. I've been searching high and low for a simple black background, and this one fits the bill perfectly!

Thanks to Vicott, who has created a bunch of themes for download here...
  16. #136
    Yeah speaking of Vicott themes...

Here's my latest. Man I love this look. So clean!

    From the top:

    - Battery Meter (8.5kb!) from XDA
    - PhoneAlarm Lite (1.55b) with I2 Carbon Skin (does date/time)
    - WeatherPanel w/Malatesta skin (v3)
    - ScaryBear Spacer Plugin (puts blank space inbetween plugins)
    - TodayAgenda (0.9.2 beta)
    - Valksoft TrueToolbar (running tasks icons in lower tray)

and of course, using Vijay555's vjtoggletodayiialpha to get rid of the Top Bar.

i installed the trial version of skmenu and ended up uninstalling it using the uninstaller under settings/system but can anyone tell me why the skmenu folder is still present with all the other programs. its like it left the icons after the uninstall.

    Here's mine:

    Here's what's installed:
Top: WisBar Advance 2 with BETA skin
    Line 1: Custom "Operator" Name
    Line 2: BatteryTime only 14k!
    Line 3: Calendar+
    Line 4: TasksPlus
    Line 5: Emoze
Line 6: SPB Backup MUCH better than Sprite IMHO
    Line 7: Agile Messenger

    Nice one Stone``.

    Good find on BatteryTime.

And I agree, SPB Backup is a very, very good program.

    Thanks Malatesta

The BatteryTime app is a little finicky though. Sometimes I have to select the "close menu" option to get it to show. I don't think this app is fully WM5 compatible but it will suffice until I can find what I'm really looking for.
