Has anyone introduced software and a docking station (modem) that allows a Treo 700 to connect to wired internet connections (RJ45 Jack)? This would give theTreo laptop connectivity. Or is there another way this can be done so you can connect in a place with land lines, but no WiFi, or mobil phone connectivity?

I would kill for something like this. I was on call yesterday with my boss (while at home) and the home phone rang-it would have been amazing to have the ability to click over and have the headset go to the home line, tell them to call back later, then click over to my boss.

    One day

uh, i dont think your talking about the same thing

Magster, where the hell are you that theres no wifi, no pc w/dialup, no bluetooth, and not even any edvo or 1x internet? Move out of the stix.

Stihl, you should get vonage internet phone for your house, they also have a softphone version coming for ppc. This will have the added benefit of talking free on your treo without using minutes.

Going to be in Bali. Hotel only has wired connections and don't want to take laptop. Basically want to be able to send and receive e-mail. Need to connect somehow to the land line, but I don't think anyone has a device yet.

Try Dock-N-Talk. It works with Blue tooth. It can be found at this site: http://www.phonelabs.com/prd05.asp

My treo 650 (Sprint) with Blue Tooth hangs so often when connected with dock-n-talk. I tried the latest firmware updates from Palm but without success. Phone lab claims that treir dock-n-talk is compatible with Treo 650 BT (Sprint) but they blame Palm for the Blue Tooth death.

    VZWuser,

If you like that, check out the "Apple AirPort Express". It's a bit pricey, but still the best designed wireless router I have seen.
