I just noticed in the default messaging application, under options, address, you can add an online address book to resolve names. That would be great if I could get it to work, because name resolution works great for my contacts, but not at all for people in the Global Address List inside the organization. So it would be great if I could get it to check the Global Address List over the air....

But I can't get it to work. What do I put in for "directory name"? I'm using the same "server" name as I have in the activesync configuration (which works fine with Exchange ActiveSync over the air), username and password can't be that hard.

Or is this "functionality" just awaiting the MSFP and won't work with Exchange right now?

I had the same issue - I was not able to get the feature to access the Global Contact List. Is this something that our IS people have to enable with Exch 2003? I also tried MS's free Global Contacts Access from the Win Mobile Site - it did not work either. I tried multiple configuration assuming that it would set up similarly to Exchanf Activesync. This feature would make corporate email so much easier. Anyone have ideas on the setup?

MSFP enables this feature. Mine is working great now.

MSFP has to be installed on the Exchange Server? Or it is a configuration on the phone?
