If that's true my would this effect PDAnet? If you mean it effects the Slingbox, then why could I use my sling box with my i730 tethered without PDAnet?

    Thanks,

Well, I have succesfully used PDAnet to connect to my Slingbox. I found a tip on at www.slingboxcommunity.com that seemed to work.

First you need to change your port forwarding to 443 on your slingbox as well as setup the port forwarding on your router.
Next, right click on My Network places (on the computer your are using for your Slingbox), and open the network connections window. Click on advanced and advanced settings in the menu bar. In the adapters and bindings tab, click on [remote access connections] and then click on the up arrow to the right of this box to move [remote access connections] to the top of the list. This forces the slingbox viewer application to use the dial up connection but will not break its ability to fall back to non-dialup connections such as wifi or ethernet.
So far I haved had no disconnects.
Woo Hooo, just in time for March Madness....

I lowered the port that th slingbox uses to 79 and that solved the problem for me. It actually works very well.
