I am curious if anyone has encountered this problem i noticed this today when i had my 700w plugged in at work and i was running the wm player listening off the net when a message pops up

"temature high...the battery tem is high. the charging function is diabled temporarily. The charging function resumes when the tempature is normal."

    is this normal?

Long term playing of streaming data will definitely result in heating of the device. You are running the CPU at full throttle and charging at the same time. Both activities generate the maximum heat in the battery. I find that I get best results by using streaming while not charging. It's just a phsical limitation of packaging everything up so small. Data streaming to media player cranks the battery more than any other activity on Windows Mobile.
