No, you're 100% correct. I tried to carry it in my pocket and getting it out while it was ringing was like wrestling a 2 year old away from Dora the Explorer; there was a lot of tugging, some screaming, and frustration.

I carry it with the included belt-clip holster, it works quite well and is able to rotate 360 degrees.

The skin case is so "grippy" that I can put it at almost a 70 degree angle on any surface without it sliding/falling.

I like the form factor of the "skin" type cases, but they grip on the way into your pocket instead of sliding right in like a leather case. I will not get a clip/holster/pouch case as I simply cannot stand the look or feel of having a phone on your belt (no offense to those who like it, just my personal stance). Is there a nylon type skin out there?

my only question on the clear toughskins is whether the color of case would begin to tarnish after a period of use.

Vaja has a range of newly released cases for the 700w, some much thinner than the one pictured. I have a vaja for my 600 and it is really nice - well worth the price. Sure, it's expensive- but if you buy 2 or 3 cheap cases that you don't like and replace, you'll be up to the same price anyway.

It is a shame about Sena because I really liked the one case I got for my 600. Guess I'll go for a Vaja.

Gex, I had that VP6 pouch too and didn't like it. The stitching frayed and the clip rotates. And after awhile, the clip got very loose and the thing would rotate around whenever it touched something, no matter how slight.

For those interested in the Sena Leatherskin case for the 700w, I emailed their CS to see if they had changed anything to prevent the scratching many people reported from their 650 cases. This is the reply I received:

We sell more than 10,000 cases for this style phone a day there are
    five
documented accounts of phones scratching, an investigation is underway
by Sena Cases to collect data, however future cases have been changed
    to
offer a velvet lining that sinks the stitching below the velvet and
prevent any possible scratching. Some of the devices reported as
scratched are reconditioned phones. Sena has done extensive beta
    testing
on Cingulair new not reconditioned devices, made from injected molded
TREO bodies and no problems at all with any scratches to any of these
devices. Our quality control is continuing to gather information and
    our
design team started making design changes on future created cases to
    prevent any future problems, scratches.

Your business is very important to us and we would like to do our best
    to meet or exceed your
expectations. Be assured that we value you as a customer and want you
    to
    know that our company
will continually strive to manufacture only the finest quality
    products.

The best compliment Sena Cases can receive is for our customers to
refer our products to family friends or others in the PDA Smart Phone
    community.

    Have an excellent Day!

That's amazing!. That means in 60 days they're selling more cases than phones that currently exist. Palm must really be happy.

Also does it come out of the case easily? Like if i wanted to keep it on my belt and just take the whole unit out leaving the case attached to my belt?

Cant believe im considering paying $130 for a case....

I can't believe that I already ordered one personalized for $117 (including shipping). I guess I'm keeping it.

    I see.

Don't know the answer. Send them an e-mail. They usually respond.

if you want to protect your unit-and it needs protection-the Innopocket is the ONLY way to go. Yes it adds a little bulk but it can survive drops and all kinds of shocks that would otherwise kill it.
