One concern I have with the new Treo 700 is what software from my existing Treo will be good to go if I make the switch....meaning will I have to get new TCPMP and a new version of Real Player and new versions of all my games like Battleship and Texas Hold Em?

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on this.

You will need to replace everything.

There is actually a WM version of TCPMP fyi.

Regarding your PalmOS apps, obviously WM is a totally different platform (like pc vs mac) so you will have to invest in replacement apps...

Finally, there is a palmOS emulator called StyleTap which can run MANY palmos apps on WM, so that might help...

You won't need to buy any dataviz like apps so your good there. You can run Plam OS apps that do not require Hot Sync to work since there was a PoS emulator for WM released.
