Can I install webOS 2.2.4 on my Palm Pre

Is it possible to install webOS 2.2.4 on my Palm Pre.If it is, can anyone tell me how I go about this as I am a complete novice.
I would imagine my biggest prob would occur when the webos doc asks me for the phone serial number, obviously (I would imagine) it will rebuke me if I put my own phone serial number in, but is there a way around this.
My phone is driving me crazy so any amswersd would be most welcome.

You will have to read this thread and see...I didn't look into it much. It looks like you can, from a quick glance, but it also doesn't look like it's relatively "easy".

It will take a little reading and setting up to doctor ur phone w Metadoctor 2.2.4 but... in the words of Rod Whitby "forget it". 2.2.4 is a power hog and the original pre hardware is underpowered. The pre plus seems to be the minimum for running the meta versions. Good luck.
