Which one, both are the same price.
  2. #2
    Pre Plus:

    Older
    Generally worse build quality
Older webOS version without modding (1.4.5, upgradeable to 2.1 with some hackery)
    Larger, possibly worse keyboard
    Industry Standard microUSB port
    16 GB of memory
Slower processor (but more unbrickable IIRC - 500/600 MHz IIRC)
Larger screen (320x480, so more fancy games and stuff)
More colors (not a big one)
    Palm branding
    headphone jack
    plastic screen
    3 MP camera, flash
larger, easily replaceable battery (not necessarily better though - 1150 mAh)

    Veer:
    newer
    smaller, cuter (lanyard loop too)
smaller screen (320x400, slightly lower color depth)
    Proprietary magnetic connector
smaller, improved keyboard and build quality
    5 MP camera, no flash
    HP branding
    the hardware for TTS
    HSPA+ support
    avaliable in white
    glass screen
battery not easily accessible (900 mAh IIRC)
No built-in headphone jack - uses magnetic connector - 3.5 mm jack adapter
faster stock speed (processor - 800 MHz) - native scaling support i believe too
    6.5 GB usable (8 GB)

That's all i can come up with right now. Feel free to correct me.

I guess you could go through reviews and stuff to see which you like better.

I recommend the Veer, but its ultimately up to you

definitely the mighty Veer..u ll absolutely love it...keyboard is awesssom same as pixi ,better than all pre's except pre3....i do agree that some apps will go little out of the screen...but most of them which are important will work fine...its altogether different exp when u actually see/have it in ur hand ...that how much cute it is...

I came across a pre 2. If that falls through then I think I'll grab the veer.

    Go Veer.
WebOS used to be great! 👎

Pre, Veer and now iPhone. Since HP killed WebOS.

Definitely Veer, webOS 2.x alone makes it worth it.

Had a little accident with some water. :-(

Can't find another pre 2 at a good price.

Unless you absolutely can not deal with the Veer's size go with it over the Pre+. If you're used to webOS 2 on the Pre2 and have to go back to 1.4.5 on the Pre+ it'll be painful. The build quality is an extra perk.

+1 for the Veer. If the screen is too small you can always tether, but unlike the pre+ you can use "faux"G.

Ouch... That stinks. I hope you get a good deal on a replacement. For the money I guess I would go Veer and get the faster phone.
