So like a lot of you, I have an original Palm Pre that I've replaced in my daily life but I'd like to repurpose it as a GPS tracker to help geotag my photos. I'd like to use it as a standalone gps device that I can mount on my camera and I'd like it to work internationally (so no aGPS slowing down the acquisition time) and I'd like to turn off the CDMA radio to save battery.

From what I can tell, using airplane mode turns off both CDMA and GPS and I have yet to find a way to turn off only the CDMA radio. Are there any preware patches that can help me target that individual radio? So far the only option I've seen is selecting the CDMA radio to use 2G (which isn't even a real CDMA term but so be it)

    Thanks! Keep webos alive.

Give the "Radio Always Off" patch in Preware a try and let us know how it works out.
