Hi. I've seen a lot of threads on Bypass activation for new phones with no data on them, but I'm not sure what happens with existing data on the phone?

I recently got a new Pre to replace my old one. I put my old one in "airplane mode" before activating the new one in order to preserve my address book, apps, and so forth.

Now I want to use Developer Bypass Activation on the old Pre, but I don't want to lose my data. (I was able to transfer some of the data, but some notes and things are missing or corrupted in the transfer.)

I know that running WebOSDoctor will essentially wipe the phone and the phone is already up to 1.4.5, so I will skip that step.

So, can I run Activation Bypass without wiping the phone?

Thanks,

Janet
