The phone works as a phone and WiFi worked as well when I run the script with --wifi-only. But so far non of the scripts for 2.2.4 provides 3G and on the top bar instead of Ev (this what I see after flashing 1.4.5 or 2.1) I see WiFi (which is not there after flashing 1.4.5 or 2.1).
In other words after flashing older versions I can sign into my account (or create a new one) and on the top bar right side I can see three signs: Ev, signal-strength and battery.
With the 2.2.4 I can not sign into my account (or create a new one) and on the top bar right side I can see three signs: WiFi, signal-strength and battery.
The phone always gets activated and works.
BTW, after flashing the last script I don't see these PRI errors.

Can anybody post their complete set of logs from webos 2.2.4 running on a Pre 2, Pre 3, Tochpad or other officially compaitible devices, if any.

As the script sort of works, I want to try something, using the carrier apps from the 1.4.5 Bell Doctor, Maybe if the right set...

This script will bring palmcustomizationinfo-bellmo_*.ipk, castlecdmafw-bellmo_*.ipk, default-content_*.ipk, and sweatshop-bellmo-castle_*.ipk over from the Bell 1.4.5 Doctor, does this bring it any closer?

Also there is a patch on the web (preware or WebOS Quick Install) for 3G did you try that?

Removed bring over the webOS 2.1.0 carrierdb as that did not fix your issue...

Forgot the older Bellmo and Sprint do not have a full sweatshop so default content also needs to be there...

Script removed it also did not work as desired...

Well, the only noticeable change with this last script is that the WiFi icon has disappeared, no Ev yet.
I've tried to install the patch but got stuck on "installing" window. Had to terminate it after a few minutes when
"{"serviceName":"com.palm.appinstaller","returnValue":false,"errorCode":-1,"errorText":"com.palm.appinstaller is not running."}" appeared in a terminal window.
Is there a way of turning on/off WiFi and EVDO services from novaterm?

Looking at the logs do see any major issues, but...

Removed script from previous post, not sure what else to try...

Updated BellMo script on github (Rod approved now in meta-doctor list) removed Verizon CDMA carrier app and EU Audio Control.

If using the BellMo Carrier Apps did not work, leaving the WR webOS 2.1.0 carrier apps then.

    When in novaterm (from http://www.webos-internals.org/wiki/Luna_Send):

This will turn WiFi on from command line:
    luna-send -n 1 palm://com.palm.wifi/setstate '{"state":"enabled"}'
    luna-send -n 1 palm://com.palm.wifi/findnetworks '{""}'

Not sure how to turn on/off Phone from novaterm but unless airplane mode is selected EVDO/3G should always be invoked (unless you use the disable phone patch or ## commands to turn phone off)

    FYI from (http://www.webos-internals.org/wiki/WebOS_Hash_Codes):
##OFF# (633) - This turns off the phone radio.

I make custom build webosdoctor for my pre+ att base on your script:
If I use the "test-wr-preplus-2.2.4" and change param : "CUSTOM_CARRIER_CHECK=att CUSTOM_MODEL_CHECK=P101UNA" ---> I doesnt work anymore, the doctor only run 4% (as I reported).
But when I use the "test-verizon-preplus-2.2.4" and change param : "CUSTOM_CARRIER_CHECK=att CUSTOM_MODEL_CHECK=P101UNA", too --> this works

Thanks for all, Iam so happy with new os version on my old pre+

So it was the script, glad you fixed it....

    ----------------

I doctored mine with 2.1 just to give a look to at the log...and found:
    1. ls-hubd, luna-service error exists thr too, but not anyother aprt frm tht....so maybe bringing the ls-hubd module fixed something or maybe not.

    2. PmWsfDaemon.....whtever those alerts mean, they are evrywhere, all over the log....i dont think it needs a chage.

    3. PmNetconfigManager....though even this is the same, but tht roadrunner name inside it makes me uncomfortable, still using the module frm 2.1

    4. Activity Manager, whatever that is named resource container manager, no container mapped for busid app id....it is thr too...so it aint an error, or if is, doesn't need attention to be specifically solved, part of hp's development. But again, shuffling this made mine os perform better, so....checking this again.
    -----------------------------

The new thing, i have a problem with a particular free game "Nuclear Attack", Few mb's download, try if it runs good on your side. During the actual gameplay, it slows down, begins to creep....you minimise the app, the game moves a step ahead, maximise it back, a step again...you wanna play...keep minimising and maximising.

The above problem was also a part of my shuffling of the opengles module.....but that doesn't solve anything, whatever this game is asking for.

And finally i think apart from this....the hopes for this project are all on your kernel, John, may you are able to compile it soon. And if you need any help, we thr....in case you need it

Not having an AT&T device I can not test this, but here is an AT&T test script, please test (it includes all the AT&T apps from the AT&T pre3 doctor).

If you tell me this works I will upload it to github...

Ok fixed Sprint naming of file...

Also will only be one YouTube app, the webOS 2.2.4 comes with a bookmark for youtube (html5), so there should not be two YouTube apps (one the bookmark app, the other the old webOS 2.1.0 app - this is only in the super script)?

Now I have thought about turning each script into a super script and removing the super script altogether, what do you think?

Besides the YouTube (HTML5 bookmark), all AT&T apps from webOS 2.2.4 should be there, SIM card stuff etc... let me know if that all works...

Again I do not have a AT&T PrePlus so I can not test this script, but it has been tested by several AT&T PrePlus users, I have submitted it to GITHUB...

But a bugy in build script: the file name of doctor is "build/test-att-preplus-2.2.4/webosdoctorp224pre-sprint-2.2.4.jar". Could you change it on next build?

And there is not YouTube apps, just a link to website??? Is this doctor for AT&T 2.24 hasnot the apps or you not add it in the doctor???

Btw, thank you again and again

Has anybody given a look to the /logs/reports/ folder....it has a crash report made for each system crash, but damn the error is coz of SIGSEGV resulting in empty logs(system freezes before a logfile can be generate, or basically is generated but not saved)....so its some form of segmentation fault, some wrong memory reference being passed by some program.

Though, mediaserver and browserserver are sent those SEGV commands during shutdown, they dont exit properly....but they aren't the ones to crash the system (I guess so), or maybe they could be...both contains roadrunner in them but if the crash log could be saved...

make sure you are connected to internet, 404 error is that preware cannot find the feed...sometimes it takes a restart and few minutes of trying before the device actually connects, some sort of trouble i have very rarely. And also have you enabled beta feeds or any other change in preware or palm-build-info or related file....

It would help if you gave some more information. My crystal ball is not working today.

    1) what device and webOS version
    2) what package you were trying to install
    3) what feeds you have enabled
    4) what the exact error message was

Now that i thought was connection problem, even I cannot install systools manager service and file manager service, curl could not find the package requested: error 404.....2.2.4, Pre +, had enabled beta-feeds but couldn't find them in the manage feeds section, WSQI doesn't work either, says nothing.....removing preware and beta feeds now

Those two packages are by Jason Robitaille. He needs to update the hard-coded paths he has put in the package metadata to match the site changes at webOS Nation and then publish those updated versions. Nothing to do with Preware - the packages are pointing to the wrong download location.

I have looked for any files under /var/logs/reports but there are no files (on my pre2, I see crash logs from save/restore but nothing else, on my pre plus I did see in the earlier builds [I save the entire logs directory in a tar] files on powerd but sense I changed the build to use the Pre2 kernel modules I have not seen these crashes again...)

I will continue to look for log files that I should save before a rebuild...

Sorry, don't have enough time to play with the phone.

Today I've made another attempt to run the script (test-bellmo-pre-2.2.4) and after re-flashing found bunch of errors related to mcc/mnc in the /var/log/messages similar to this one:

    webos-device user.err PmWsfDaemon: {wan.cdb}: Populate: Couldn't find any record for 302/651

while running 2.1 version shows me following:
    palm-webos user.crit PmWsfDaemon: {wan.cdb}: RadioStatusCb: mcc/mnc updated -1->302/-1->651
