saw a tweet from webosinternals re: what's backed up in the hp webos profile, with a link.

notice that it asks what version of webos one is using on their Verizon Pre
Plus, 1.4.5 or 2.0 or later.

Does this mean that vzw will release 2.0 or later to legacy devices?

Your device is not able to support the new features of webOS 2.

Therefore, your device will not receive a webOS 2 update. The latest software version for your device is webOS 1.4.5.

We are working on alternative plans and will be sharing details in the coming weeks. Please come back to palm.com/webos-info to find out more.

    Your current device:

    Palm Pre on Bell.
Nope... still the same thing for a Bell Pre. Pretty sure you'll get the same thing for a Verizon Pre Plus.
Palm IIIc -> Sony CLIÉ T650C -> Sony TJ-37 -> Palm TX -> Palm Centro -> Palm Pre Bell -> Palm Pre Plus Bell/Verizon Hybrid -> HP Veer -> HP Pre 3 NA -> BlackBerry Classic -> BlackBerry Priv

It's a Late Goodbye, such a Late Goodbye.

You get the same message with Verizon for the Pre Plus. The only way to get 2.1 on the Pre Plus is meta doctor. Verizon will never push 2.x to the Pre Plus. At this point the Pre 2 is still waiting for an update from 2.0.1 to 2.1!

Isn't Pre Plus on Verizon end of life? Verizon will never spend money on certifying an OS update for an end of life product.
