    Lo,

Is there a utility to see if it is in developer mode currently?
The only way at the moment seems to be to do the webos2009 etc charcters in find.

The pre seems to switch itself out of devloper mode on this pre1

What conditions does a pre switch itself to non developer mode?
    Reboot?
    Shutdown?

    thanks for your time

For me the only thing that has taken my phone out of developer mode is me manually taking it out using the application. If I leave it in dev mode it stays there through reboots, shutdowns, etc.

    Ditto.

@OP There's an unhide dev mode patch. That way you can just tap the icon or use universal search and find it with "de" and then open it to see if you're in dev mode.

There is also a dev mode app although I'm not to sure why someone felt to need to reinvent the wheel. Either way, once the dev mode app is opened, the on/off switch will indicate if u r in dev mode or not.

I keep both of our Pres in dev mode all the time and have no issues. They both also reboot daily and never exit dev mode on their own.

I tried the unhide devmode patch and it installed fine.

However on reboot i cannot see it.
do i need to do the webos2009 thing again for it to appear?

    thanks

Hm. You shouldn't have to. Should just be there after boot. What happens when you Just Type "dev"?

Edit: What OS version are you on?
