Have a new Pre2 and a deactivated Pre - Can I still get the files off of the Pre?

Have tried to get the USB hookup and it wants me to sign onto a profile...What to do? (couldn't find the right search terms to see any previously posted info on this topic).

You can do this to your old pre, with the --wifi-only option:

WebOS 2 Upgrade - WebOS Internals

Or I guess you could reactivate the old pre and use a new profile, copy the stuff off usb, then reactivate your Pre2.

I was able to get my photos and files off of my deactivated palm pre perfectly!!!
