Ya probably want to give folks more than 35min to answer

I've been juggling the same question...

Got this Pre+ with 2.1.0 on it, and was pondering getting a Pre3 unlocked, and giving this Pre+ to my older son.

But the other half of my brain wonders if it's worth spending $350+ on a Pre2, when the Pre3 is like 3-6mos away!

well im gettin a dealeo on this phone and not worried about it much . i will get the pre3 on contract for no more than 250 or so . i also will not be on a contract .

I made the switch from Sprint to AT+T two weeks ago after receiving my Pre 2... the AT+T service has 450 anytime minutes, 2GB data, 1,000 texts, and World Connect (international dialing) for about $80/month. Throw in the taxes/fees and it's slightly over $90 a month.

So yeah... Sprint definitely has the better plan, but the Pre 2 hardware is so much nicer than the Pre- and I didn't want to muck around with the comm board swap. Plus side is you're not tied to a contract, so if/when the Pre 3 drops on Sprint, you can switch right back over.

World Connect is $4/month. If I remember correctly, unlimited texting is $20 a month. 1,000 texts is $10/month.

    AT$T ain't the cheapest, that's for sure.
When all is said and done, I pay $253/mo on a 4-line 1400min family plan, after 15% work discount.
THis is the 1400min plan, with 1 iphone, $30unlim, 1 iphone $25 datapro, 1 captivate (well, pre+, now!!) with $30 unlim, and a captivate with $25 datapro. add in unlim text w/ unlim mobile-to-any-mobile.

My issue, is I travel abroad alot, which kinda' nixes CDMA, leaving DeathStar and T-Mobile.

Advantage to AT$T for me, is my work BB is AT$T, unlim inat'l data, so when I travel, I yank the SIM from my BB, pop it in my Captivate, and use the inat'l data for personal email, work email (Exch 2010), and also for VoIP.over 3g.

Only thing I miss out on doing that, is bb messenger, which for me, isn't a big loss.

With the Pre+, the only thing I'd miss out on is SIP/VoIP, but I also have a WiFi VoIP phone I carry, so it's not the end of the world...
