Can't install sdk-145 or novaterm

A couple of days ago I rooted my new pre. At that time I had no trouble except that I had to get the Virtualbox 3.2. Today the novacom stopped working after I had successfully removed the NHL and some other irritating fixed apps. I wanted to delete another app. This time Novacom would not work and gave me the help screen instead. So I attempted to re-install Novacom. Would not work. So I uninstalled it and tried to download it . I got the message that this was no longer available on the repository for an I386 computer. Then I thought that the SDK might be causing it and messed around with it and finally wound up uninstalling it. Same thing happened!
I finally used the tiny terminal program on my phone to delete the app.
Now I do not have access to the emulator. Any Ideas?
