It seems certain youtube videos which may have copyrighted content, are not available on mobile devices. If you try to bypass this by opening youtube in "desktop" view, when you try playing the video it will say "there was an error playing the file".

My question is, is it possible to bypass this? If its just the Youtube app which is telling the server that it is a mobile device, then it should be possible to simply patch that.

These videos are unavailable even on wifi, which means it has to be something on the phone that is allowing youtube to restrict the video. I would love to make this patch myself but I'm not that good at the programming languages webos uses. So I'm just putting it out there that this would be a very useful app for those of us who like to listen to songs on youtube in the car and whatnot.
