I have had a UK Palm Pre on O2 for a little over a year now and was initially very happy with its performance . However, shortly before Christmas I reluctantly had to send it back due to the well documented touchscreen error whereby it would arbitrarily launch apps without anyone touching the screen. (The final straw was when it called my sister at 2 a.m.!).
Since getting the phone back I have not had a problem with the touchscreen, however in the last few weeks the keyboard has been failing with increasing regularity. Initially I could get it to recover by shutting down and removing the battery for a few minutes before booting up again, but this technique is no longer working and the keyboard seems completely dead.
Does anyone think that a software solution (like doctoring) would work or do I need to return the phone for repair again (Now, of course, it is out of warranty )
TIA, Julian
