My Pre battery is at 50% health. Have any Aussie owners obtained a replacement battery? If so, how did you source it, at what price, and how long did it take for delivery? Thanks for any information.

    And $20 for p&p probably.

EDIT: Actually $9 p&p for a total of $17. Sounds doable.

I'm in Melbourne. Recently bought 4 spare batteries for about $15-20 AUD total including postage off ebay. They all hold as much charge as the original and I've found no problems apart from keeping them all charged with only one pre to charge them in. I should get an external charger, but I don't know which one to look for. Recommendations?

Johncc, if you want the ebay store name, let me know and I'll grab it off my mac's web history when I next can...

I just remembered threads saying the Centro battery works as well (please check though).

Those are available on ebay Aus, right?

Centro battery works fine my spare. Centro stuffed due to phone jack issue. I use it as a charger for the spare, and can swap and change no worries.
Also find boot up a lot faster under 2.1.0 than 1.4.5.
Pre- GSM (Movistar), unlocked, on Optus.

To complete my story. I ordered 2 Pre batteries from eBay user the_oem_spot. Total cost USD 16.55 including p&p for the 2, and were delivered in 8 days. Too easy!

What he said :-) I've given my old pre- to my 8 year old daughter, as you can imagine she is not great keeping the battery charged, so I keep a spare on an old centro.
