    Hi

I'm trying to Host a local lan game using with free tether.
But its not working, the other phone cant find the game.

    What im doing is:

I open a wifi with my phone, then let the other phone connect and then i just host the game.

    Should work shouldnt it???

I'm not even sure if my mobile hotspot is setted up right....how can i see if it is correctly installed?!

    Anyway, i need help

    thanks

each connection is going to be on it' own VLAN, I don't think you cqn change that. Same reason you can't all sit at starbucks and pay local head2head

Rod had mentioned to me that he plays games the way the OP mentioned when he's not near a wifi hotspot. Not sure how he's setup but I'd gather it is indeed possible.

might be playing on-line through the phone, not on a LAN?

I was pretty sure he was referring to local as the question I asked was basically how to allow my own software to communicate peer to peer over wifi without cell data or a hotspot. I'll have to dink around with it one of these days and see if I can make it work.

I have a netgear travel router that works for this... About the size of a deck of cards, and it lets me so this, among many other benefits when I travel.

Not possible from a pre unless someone coded it to do so I believe.
