After having success with Xanadu73's method (Post #130) and including the "funny" provisioner file I had blue check marks appear after tapping my update buttons in Network Services. I switched my EVDO Primary Home & Secondary home to the addresses closest to me & the update buttons came back with the 1012 error. I luckily saved the original EVDO addresses & reinserted them. Now the blue check marks appear again. Hope this info helps someone. If anyone can explain why this happens here, it might be helpful (or at least educational).

Or potentially give you a better connection to the network. One or the other.

Thanks again Xanadu73! My wife is using android on Sprint so I usually wait for her to have an update of her PRL before I go ahead and change mine just to be on the safe side. Is a PRL is a regional setting? Whatever the case, this is a nice thing to have so I grabbed it just in case.
On a side note... I've been having issues with SMS being knocked out on my Frankenpre2 lately & the only way to fix it has been to use the "Update Network Settings" button I created through this thread using the "funny" provisioner file. The Primary & Secondary Home addresses don't change, but my SMS comes back after I hit "update" and the blue check mark appears. Weird, but it seems to restore SMS.

Hmmm, wondering if I should try that PRL? I am on 60678 and I've done all the steps using the funny provisioner. IDK if I am on the latest PRL for my area, but every time I hit Update PRL, it spinns for a few seconds and then tells me "No PRL update available".

Open "Device Info" from the "System" app page. Then hit the "More Info" button towards the bottom. The next screen will have your PRL number towards the bottom.

Everyone can hit their "Update PRL" button as many times as they want and they are not going to get 01119. It's not (universally) live on the Network yet.

Now that would have been good to know in your first 01119 post.

I am just hoping to see the phone will update to the latest PRL when hits the network.

Why do you think it wouldn't?

But that doesn't answer the question of why you think the PRL won't ever update again after using 01119.

(Hint: Me and a couple others here are the ones that figured out how to get this all working in 2.1 in the first place. My first post saying I think I got it working was March 5th: http://forums.precentral.net/2898522-post2500.html About half-way through page 2 of THIS very thread started the fun of open collaboration getting this reliably working 2.1 - March 8th: http://forums.precentral.net/palm-pr...-update-2.html )
