    My PC screen has been stuck 'connecting to device' when I picked install preware from the menu, it's been like this for like 10 minutes, do I disconnect the phone? reboot? It must not be working?

    Hmm, what menu? Are you using WebOS Quick Install Tool to install Preware?

    If your whole unit is frozen and unresponsive, you might need to pluck the battery out. If you can close the application and get the system to respond, that would be best.

    OK, closed it OK, thanks! Restarted and this time it installed, whew. I think I'm too gunshy on this stuff lol

    Yeah, 99% of the time you can always recover with a WebOS Doctor if need-be. Don't be shy to screw with settings, crazy applications, bleeding edge stuff, etc
