HELP! Light bar(Gesture Area) Wont light up!

My light bar wont light up, is my phone broken?

If you mean that you cant back swipe, or swipe up to minimize a card for instance, then your gesture area digitizer is probably borked. I dealt with the same problem for someone recently. At least they had the old Sprint Pre with the physical button for minimizing an app to card view which helped dealing with the problem temporarily. Bottom line though is that phone had to get replaced with another Pre through their Sprint TEP insurance.
