I make calls and can hear the folks I'm calling. I have the volume turned up but they can't hear me very well. Anyone else having this problem? Is this a hardware issue with the Pre/Pre Plus?? This only happens when I am not using the Bluetooth headset. On Bluetooth, everything is find. Holding the handset to my ear, I have to speak up louder than I want to.

If you found my post useful then please sign up for a Dropbox Account, I could use the extra 250mb of storage.

HOW TO: Zip/Unzip via Pre/Pixi using Terminal
HOW TO: Modify DTMF audio (webOS 1.4.5 or earlier)

No, I can hear in the ear piece. I'm not using the headset. Folks can't hear me but I can hear them.

Thought it might be worth a try to clean the headset outlet.

Sounds like it might be your mic thats broken.

Have you rebooted the phone.. Doctored it?

Yep. Rebooted. Haven't doctored it because it hasn't ever shown any other problems.

Choose Interactive Tests under Preferences in the Device Info app. Tap on Audio and you can choose the Headset microphone to test it. This will help detemine what the exact issue might be.

Depending on your provider and other variables, you should be able to take your phone in to your local carrier and get it fixed/replaced for free. Just make sure to take all patches/themes/other various signs that you have been using Preware so they don't give you any problems (that is, if you have done that).
