    Folks,

not sure whether or not this does belong here, I initially want to apologize for the message being pretty little verbose in terms of information. Simply put: Installed the Virtual Keyboard off the Preware package feed, and figured out it "doesn't work". As far as I read, the keyboard should be started by double-tapping the area next to the silver button, but no matter how fast or slow I tap, nothing ever appears, no matter how long I wait. No error messages as well, though. System is webOS 1.4.5 on a Palm Pre, Preware is 1.4.2, just a handful of patches / apps installed. Is there any hint on what to do to, at least, get more information on what exactly goes wrong?

    TIA and all the best,
    Kristian

Uninstall and reinstall the VK patch. Make sure to double tap on the gesture area.

Note: do a hard reset after installing the patch.

    Good luck.

I just (re) installed the patch yesterday and it seems to work OK.

Do you have a text field in focus when you attempt to start the VK? If not, try that.

Aaah I see. Indeed this fixes it. Wasn't aware it would be _that_ easy...
Thanks a bunch for your help!
