    Just a note of clarification:

The Preware Homebrew Documentation app is authored by me, and proceeds of sales from it go to me (see the related thread for details).

The Homebrew HowTo and I Love Homebrew apps are not developed by or related to WebOS Internals at all. So you should purchase them on the basis of their own merits (both apps serve a great purpose by spreading the word about homebrew) - they are not a means of assisting WebOS Internals developers.

Drat I was hoping that would help by buying it. Do I get sympathy points at least for getting Rahul to tweet about the web-a-thon?

I've just sent $1300 to a trusted intermediary who is going to purchase 2 x UK Pre 2 devices for WebOS Internals developers. If Palm is able to get them to him on Mon/Tue, he will Fedex one onwards to New York, hopefully for me to intercept on Thu/Fri, activate in the US for paid app catalog access, and then hand-carry back to Australia to use as my production device here (I need an EU banded 3G device in Australia, a US banded 3G device won't work properly).

So that's $1900 spent on Pre 2 devices so far. As soon as Jason is able to purchase a device in Canada, we'll be forwarding sufficient funds on to him so that he can ensure that WebOS Quick Install works with the Pre 2.

In other news, we have confirmed that our open source Novacom-replacement driver is able to access the Pre 2, so a French SFR Pre 2 owner has been able to capture a kernel log dump at PalmPre2HardwareAndDriversInformations - WebOS Internals and we're now examining that for interesting information.

For example, we see an automatic voltage calibration feature that seems to operate when the CPU frequency is changed - this may well minimize the power based on the specific characteristics on each device silicon. We have also been able to confirm that the Pre 2 contains the latest ES1.1 silicon revision of the OMAP3630 SoC.
