Default Cant recover sprint pre tokens :(

Hi,

I doctored my phone because i could not find the tokens folder so i thought i might have deleted it. I succesfully doctored the sprint pre but my touch screen is not working and im stuck in the activation screen and cant put it into usb mode. is there a way to succesfully plus my sprint pre without the token information?

if this doesn't work out for me ill have to go to the Evo or epic I was counting on plussing to save my pre

only reason I know of to mess with tokens is if you were trying to Pre Plus your Sprint Pre. If this is the case I think you can not recover them. As stated in the Sprint Pre Minus to Plus conversion that lost token will brick your phone.

What is needed to transfer phone data to a new com board. Like the wifi 'token'...or bluetooth 'token'. I think or it as like a serial type number that each com device is given to connect to other devices. Without them the phone is dead. Check (search) for a thread call Sprint Pre to Pre Plus.

GAH! I hate the picture in your signature. For the umpteenth time I literally reached my hand up to my laptop and tried to brush away the bug only to realize it wasn't real. Good game.

there are a bunch of files located at /tmp/tokens on the palm pre devices that make each one unique, without these tokens you can't rebuild the meta-doctor that you would use to flash a non-sprint phone with your sprint comm board in it. there probably is a way to restore your phone, but the forums don't seem to have that answer...

the standard meta doctor should not have trashed these files, if it was run on a normal sprint pre, unless OP was attempting to do something else with their device. who knows until we get some more details...

There is a way to get them back, you might have to message Internals though.
