I just got a pre plus from ebay and the whole phone is like new.

When typing in the text field for my palm profile though the keyboard acts up with doubled and missed letters.

Does the latest software(1.4.5) fix this? (Not sure what software is on it) Or is this a hardware issue that software doesn't fix?

1.4.1 basically fixed that. what is your phone running?

it was also made much worse by running the superprekernel for overclocking, so make sure that isn't on the phone. your best strategy with a used phone is to run webosdoctor to start with a factory fresh device. if you already did that, then you have a hardware issue.

Nope still have to press hard for it to register keys without fail.

I am @ 1.4.5's New Profile login area (don't have verizon so I can't login) Unless there's a difference in the actual os then I guess I am screwed.

My original Pre Plus was like that.. finally exchanged it and the new keyboard was a night and day difference. It's a defective keyboard.

See I got it online. would it still be under warranty?

The keyboard feels exactly like my sprint pre's keyboard. Isn't the verizon one supposed to be different (better)?
