    i have sprint on the palm pre.....and this is the first time this has happened. i connect my girlfriends laptop as usual....and i got an error message on the phone saying something along the lines of of your phone does not share an internet connection please contact your service provider. this is the first time this has happened like i said...should i worry???? i do use my phone as my regular internet....any input.

    have you tethered since the 1.4.5 update? There are updated patches you need if you haven't updated them.

    what do you mean...i have tethered since the 1.4.5 but I have not updated the hotspot.....help

    Sometimes it resets itself and it will erase the hotspot name and password. You just have to retype in the connection name in the hotspot app.

    Where it says network info there should be a name and passphrase. Sometimes it erases all of that for some reason and all you have to do is type in a name and passphrase and it should work again.

    but I had a name on it already...nothing has changed
