    Hi all,

Just purchased a 2nd hand pre. I have not gotten my phone yet.
    Just wondering:

Can I install Homebrew apps here? (preware bla bla)
I cant upload over-the-air official updates right? (my set is ver 1.4.5)
No service centre in SG I supposed.
Any singapore user here in this forum??

Any other tips or suggestions and reccomendations are deeply appreciated!!

I believe 1.4.5 is current latest.. i am singapore user too.. using singtel, most free app able to download from catalog, for me the free apps offer is enough. Over clocking sure help without compromising the battery much.

Ok, I've installed a couple of homebrew apps and app catalogue and slightly gotten used to how the phone works, however, I got a couple of questions to raise:

    1) When i go to the contacts, those that have 2 nos in SIM will only appear 1 no.
How to copy SIM contacts to the pre? and can i make 'default' no to 1 of the 2 nos
    like nokia?
    2) My touchstone isn't working, the 2nd hand pre that i bought comes with a BB cable.
    3) How do I remove the "( )" in the (956)111 21 when dialing?

    Your help is much appreciated!!

    Thank you guys!

Buy an OEM Palm Pre cable and USB wall charge adapter via amazon.

I did! from ebay. My TS works now! So happy...

Ok, back to my question agn:

How do I remove the '()' when i dial a no?? eg: (012)87655433.

In WM, it can be removed via phone settings 'Regional Settings' and change it to 'No dialing prefixes' and 'Location'...

I think you can go to Regional Settings and change it to Singapore or something. Then reboot your Pre. Worked for me.

I could get 1.4.5 over the air. Mine is a UK O2 set.

You can find other sg users at spug . sg / forums /forum.php

No worries. OTA updates/app catalogue are available even if you do things to regional settings. I've done this.
