    so i downloaded ampache mobile from the app catalog and ampachPre from precentral i got as far as when i had to go to the localhost but it said that mysql didnt have a password and amoache requires one. can someone please help. i would be happy if someone answered to this. P.S. I would like simple instructions for mac osx instalation

    I don't have a mac but the instructions I used on the wiki worked well for me.

    i would suggest looking through the original ampache pre and ampache mobile threads. lots of people had lots of issues setting it up me included. i only did it on pc so i can't help and my server broke so have no clue how to do it again. But you may find some help there.

    i know they are long but when i was doing it that's how i eventually solved my own problems with set up. There may even be a way to search each thread for key words like "mac", or "macintosh" or "apple" or something. If i remember correctly too, and this may not relate to your issue, but i got hung up once i had everything right, where i wasn't entering the addresses correct. like i think i had to either include or not include the http:// part or something. one or the other. it was a while back. sorry i couldn't help but you may want to check there. It was a pain in the *** but i will say it was worth it once i got it working and was a cool feature.
